About the Call
Preserving memory through action
Cultural memory in Palestine is under threat. The destruction of heritage, the displacement of communities and the suppression of historical narratives endanger not only cultural sites, but also identity and collective memory. This Call for Action brings together experts, artists, institutions and citizens to support the preservation of Palestinian cultural heritage through documentation, justice, education and international cooperation.
01
Documentation
Document and preserve Palestinian cultural heritage through open-source archives, GIS mapping, oral histories, artworks and records of destroyed cultural sites.
02
Support to Contemporary Artists
Support the movement of artists, encourage participation in international exhibitions and strengthen opportunities for artistic production.
03
Legal Action
Promote legal accountability for crimes against cultural heritage and support the emergency protection of significant Palestinian sites.
04
Education
Preserve cultural memory by supporting educational initiatives and community history projects across Gaza and the West Bank.
05
Post-War Planning
Ensure that cultural preservation becomes an integral part of reconstruction efforts, involving local experts and displaced communities.
